Awesome Potato Soup
6-8 cleaned potatoes
1 stick of butter
1 medium onion diced
1 pound of diced ham or cooked diced steak
1 quart of heavy cream
1 Tbsp of flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
5 cups chicken stock
1 cup water
Bake potatoes at 400 until done. Melt butter and saute onions. After onions are completely cooked add flour and mix well. Add chicken stock and let come to a boil. Meanwhile peel potatoes and cut them into chunks. Mix cornstarch and water. Slowly add this to the boiling chicken stock. Add the potatoes and let come back to a boil. Add ham or steak and let soup thicken a bit.
Serve with cheese on top and biscuits for a delicious dinner.
