First game of the season.......

Last night was my son's first football game of the season. Granted they only tied 14 to 14, but they played really well. He really worked his butt off for the game. I am proud of how well he did. He was even announced for one of his tackles. He really nailed the guy and did it well. It's like I told him....you're not out there to make friends, you're out there to win a game. Making friends with the other team is pointless in football. You need to concentrate on keeping the ball out of the other team's hands and getting it back in your team's hands when you do lose it. But all in all he was wiped out from last night's game since he played offense and defense most of the game. He was out of the game for a brief period to rest up and that was about it.
